LEVC cuts 2025 loss by over £110m as next TX taxi planned

Loss £55m vs £179m; sales 725; TX5 ending lifecycle — new-generation TX with no launch date.

London EV Company narrowed its annual loss by more than £110m in 2025 while confirming a new-generation TX taxi is planned as the TX5 nears the end of its life.

trade reporting analysis of Companies House accounts shows a £54.98m loss after £179.47m in 2024, with operating loss down to £45.52m from £156.56m. Revenue fell to £59.6m from £88.1m as sales dropped to 725 vehicles (target 724) from 1,792. Average headcount fell from 395 to 282. LEVC says eCoC rules from July 2026 make further TX5 investment hard to justify and is working with Geely on a next TX and possible wider Ansty use. London cabbie numbers are cited down from 20,577 in 2019 to about 16,157 by end-2025. Parent support is committed to end-2027; no TX6 launch date is given.
